George J. Hayden Registered Electrical Apprentice Program

Approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and The Pennsylvania Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT)

 June 29, 2010 (Hazleton, PA) - For many years George J. Hayden Inc. has been very involved in the Hazleton School District as advisory members, committee members and with specific donations to better train students in their prospective trade areas.

In 1999 George J. Hayden was instrumental in bringing the state of the art curriculum to the Electrical Program through Associated Builders and Contractors and The National Center for Construction Education and Research which is affiliated with the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. This curriculum is a nationally approved program throughout the U.S. by the U.S. Department of Labor as well as most U.S. departments of education.

In the past 10 years, we have been able to provide many graduates from the Hazleton Career Center Electrical Program at least 1 full year of advanced standing in the Registered Apprentice Related Training portion of the program and in some instances 1 ½ to 2 years advanced standing again in the related training of the program.

Hayden Electric has hired a minimum of 2 students per year in the past and has maintained that accomplishment again with this graduating class; as well as having supported students through the part-time Cooperative Education Program at their school.
